This beautiful home is to be located on a magnificent rural, lake property. The design centers on day-to-day life for a client with a large family, particularly focusing on the children's activities and learning.
The design provides for an entry between wings of the home. Upon entry, you are struck with a directional view to the lake and become part of the cascading terrace design that embraces the slope to the shoreline. One wing of the home is specifically designed for the Master Suite, including bedroom, walk-in closet and master bath. Opposite the master suite from the entry is the main living space. Here an open plan connects the great room, dining and kitchen. From the great room you can enter the screen porch, which once again has excellent views to the lake.
The body and configuration of the home welcomes a large in-ground swimming pool and terrace. The arrangement allows for excellent supervision of the children swimming and for a connection between the pool/lake.
Beyond the kitchen a walk-in pantry, mudroom and laundry room form the service core of the home. A breezeway (also doubling as the children's mudroom) separates the home from the four-car garage.
The upper level provides bedrooms and bathrooms for seven with community lounge space and study area. Functionally, two stairs provide access to the "public" space below and oppositely the service space on the other end of the home.
The lower level is fully finished to include a game room, bunk room, home theater, bar, exercise room and guest suite. A majority of the lower level spaces have full windows and walk-out opportunities.
